What is Miron Glass?

 

Miron glass (often called Miron violet glass) is a dark violet colored glass (it looks black unless held up to a very bright light), and is used to store light‑sensitive natural products like herbs, oils, cosmetics, and supplements. It is designed to block most visible light while letting through only specific beneficial wavelengths, which helps slow down degradation and preserve potency of products. UVB and other frequencies in the visible spectrum are shown to degrade products and Miron blocks all frequencies of light except UVA (which is shown to help preserve vitality in products) and Infrared.
